Acupuncture Healthcare Associates of Michigan brings together a network of professionals who work holistically to assist individuals in creating alignment in their body, mind and spirit, creating; health, balance and wellness in their lives.

We offer professional, practiced healthcare services, including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, naturopathic medicine and lifestyle counseling, performed with integrity and conscientiousness.

It is our mission to provide whole-body choices in integrated medicine in a safe, confidential and professional environment. We empower our patients to take self responsibility for their health care. Our dedicate team of professionals provide whole body medicine for individuals of all ages.

 

Julie Silver, MSW, Dipl. Ac. is president and founder of Acupuncture Healthcare Associates of Michigan, Inc.  Julie is a NCCAOM board Certified Acupuncturist with a degree from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.  In addition, she has a Master’s Degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Wayne State University.

Julie is very active in several professional organizations, including the American Study for Reproductive Medicine, RESOLVE, The American Association of Oriental Medicine, and is the past Vice President of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  In addition, Julie was elected to the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Free Loan Association.

Along with other modalities, Julie specializes in combining Traditional Chinese Medicine along with Assisted Reproductive Medicine.  She has trained under Dr. Randine Lewis (author of The Infertility Cure) and Jane Lyttleton (author of Treating Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine) with special emphasis on combining Acupuncture with Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Monica Mae Leibson, Dipl. Ac.  earned her Masters degree at the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine (SBCOM), and is a NCCAOM Board Certified Acupuncturist.  Monica has been trained in the treatment of physical and musculoskeletal injuries, working with alcohol and drug detoxification, as well as working with hospice patients.  She has received extensive training in Chinese herbs, physical medicine and anatomy and physiology.

Monica has also obtained specialized training in Chinese Medicine and Infertility, studying under both Dr. Randine Lewis (author of The Infertility Cure) and Jane Lyttleton (author of Treating Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine).  Monica and her infertility practice focuses on integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine with Reproductive Medicine. 
Monica’s concentration on pregnancy aims at education & supporting a woman’s natural body processes during pregnancy.

Monica is a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and uses Chinese Medicine to empower her clients to access their physical, emotional, and spiritual power.  Monica combines her art of healing to express the divine creativity within all of us

 

Dr. Jen Green, N.D.,  specializes in pediatrics, women’s health and cancer care. She is a graduate of The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Green ran a holistic health center in Toronto before moving to Michigan, as well as having worked at a Toronto-based HIV Clinic. In addition, she helped to initiate a breast cancer program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Green’s publications include chapters in the book, My Breasts, My Choice, as well as articles in the Journal of Complementary and Integrative Medicine and Townsend Letters. She has done research with Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto and was a co-investigator for a trial on Essiac in breast cancer.

Dr. Green is a member of the Michigan Association of Naturopathic Physicians and is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario and New Hampshire. She sits on the steering committee for the Canadian Pediatric Complementary and Alternative Medicine Network. In 2000, She was given the Integrated Women’s Health Award for her clinical excellence in the treatment of women’s health.

Dr. Hallie Armstrong has had a passion for natural medicine since a very young age. She has a dedication for seeking balance in life and believes this is the true path to health. Dr Armstrong earned her bachelors degree from Michigan State University and graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of six accredited medical schools in North America offering a four-year formal studies in Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Armstrong is a Naturopathic Doctor with the sole interest in helping others heal themselves. Her approach to health care is very holistic. In her studies she has worked with a diverse patient base, treating a multitude of physical and mental ailments. She worked in two inner city clinics in Toronto focusing on patients in the homeless and low-income populations. Beyond her training at CCNM, Dr. Armstrong is a certified WTS practitioner focusing on disorders of the Adrenals and Thyroid. She has taken additional courses in homeopathy studying with world-renowned homeopaths Rajan Sankaran and Divia Chabra. In addition, Dr. Armstrong has a special interest in both Women’s Health and Pediatric care.
