Julie’s client base is quite diverse. She works with many different patients who have benefitted from acupuncture and are interested in health prevention and wellness. She has received continuing education in treating musculoskeletal conditions with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition, she has trained under Dr. Randine Lewis (author of The Infertility Cure) and Jane Lyttleton (author of Treating Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine) with special emphasis on combining Acupuncture with Assisted Reproductive Technology.
In her practice she works with a variety of Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques, using acupuncture and Chinese herbs as the foundation. She also supplements acupuncture with massage, gua sha, moxabustion, cupping and electro-acupuncture. In addition, she works with clients to make lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health; consulting such issues as nutrition and detoxification, exercise and physical health and wellness, as well as psychological and emotional well being.
When she’s not creating well-balance and holistic treatments for her patients, Julie is passionate about nature. She loves the outdoors and can be found power-walking through quaint neighborhoods in metro Detroit with her dog, Oscar and boyfriend Mark; or hiking through the nature preserve trails in southeastern Michigan. She loves to travel and enjoys taking several road trips a year to visit her friends in Chicago, as well as spending quality time with her nieces, nephew, good friends and family.
